The Eighth District Dental Foundation is proud to have so many dentists and dental professionals interested in humanitarian work and will use this page as a clearinghouse for such information.

1) Dominican Republic - Full dental missions, including restorations, extractions, hygiene, sealants, fluorides and education, take place during one-week trips in March.
2) Missions to Appalachia through Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps (RAM) - I travel to about five per year but more are available. Extractions, restorations and hygiene are performed at weekend clinics. For more info on RAM, visit www.ramusa.org.
3) Inner City mission one weekend per year in Buffalo with location to be determined. Good Neighbors clinic might be used for future clinics. These missions are similar to RAM, except they are local and occur on Saturdays only.
4) Apolonia Guild - Patients that are screened by Catholic charities for need are sent to your office on a referral basis. This is an occasional need according to office location. All specialties are included. Social activities have a Catholic theme, but religious affiliation is not required to belong.
1) Portable Dental battery operated drill for simple restorations and surgical extractions.
2) Portable X-ray head -suitcase size but tripod a separate piece-110 volt.
3) Three full Adec portable dental units -suitcase size but need separate air compressor requiring 3cfm capacity for each unit at 80 psi.
4) Curing lights and various instruments.
